At long last we have released our organic Sauvignon Blanc from our Gisborne Terrace Vineyard, in Ormond Valley appellation. We obtained these cuttings in 2003 from a vineyard in Gisborne, whom had the original plants that came to New Zealand in the 1980’s. Our vines are plante on their own roots and grown organic.
The wine was fermented in stainless steel tank, cool fermented and minimal time on yeast lees, to ensure a clean fresh style. The wine has slight blackcurrant, passionate fruit flavours with hints of feijoa and lime. Lovely balanced crisp acidity and a nice finish to it.
In making this wine we sponsor the local Women’s Native Tree Project in Gisborne. The wines are made from certified organic grapes and bio-dynamically grown grapes. The wine is low allergen – low sulphur, minimal additives and produced without any animal by products.
