This wine is a classic expression of Hawkes Bay Chardonnay from a fantastic vintage. The aromatic nose is reminiscent of citrus blossom and stone fruit supported by notes of crème brulee and grilled nuts. The palate is concentrated and complex with citrus fruit notes being balanced by richness derived from aging on the yeast lees. As a wine from a top Hawkes Bay vintage, one would expect excellent focus and concentration on the palate, which then leads to a long and sustained finish.
Drinking well upon release this wine could be cellared with confidence for five to eight years.
