Is this NZ’s top Pinot? Huge fruit depth and complexity comes from old vines (20+ years), tender-loving viticulture and extremely low yields. In this vintage a more focussed style conveys sheer fruit depth with built-in undertones of earthy herbs and spice that cry out for development in bottle. Drinking this you are in the presence of Pinot greatness, with concentration and authenticity that might command twice this price pretty soon. Any good cellar or table needs this wine.
